 Edison Park, a friendly, quaint community on the Far Northwest Side of Chicago located east from the suburbs of Park Ridge to Niles. Located just 13 miles northwest of Chicago's Downtown Loop, Edison Park is quiet and peaceful. Residents say this neighborhood really hasn't changed much in 80 years!
The tree-lined streets are filled with more than 5,000 homes. Most of Edison Park's homes are older and display stained and leaded glass, wood-burning fireplaces, solid oak flooring, tiled roofs and other architectural ornamentation. There aren't many apartment buildings in Edison Park, but there are investor-owned condos for rent in the area.
Transportation is easy for Edison Park residents. They have access to CTA's blue line train that go downtown, and get to O'Hare airport in 10 minutes. Edison Park also provides easy access to Metra's Union Pacific train line, which also goes to Chicago's Downtown area, and The Kennedy Expressway (I 90/94). |
